LET’S TALK INNOVATION

What do you think are some innovations that will redefine the future of audience targeting and media buying?
For me, it's Australia's fiercely competitive premium video landscape. It’s driving disruption in the screens marketplace – reshaping how we commoditise, plan, and measure media buys for brands.

On the media buying front, this has unlocked new opportunities that challenge our own trading practices – revolutionising the way we trade impressions from start to finish.
With CTV on the rise, how have you enabled advertisers to transition smoothly from traditional media buying?
In collaboration with independent measurement providers, we’ve demonstrated the effectiveness of multi-environment screen buys for brands. This includes prioritising digital screens in our planning.

Together with partners like Beatgrid and Samba TV, we’ve created solutions that fill the gaps in consumption measurement. While it’s a given that TV screens are essential for building brands, leveraging CTV requires us to do more – from applying the same level of rigour in traditional channels to embracing new and emerging measurement approaches.
How can your innovation help other advertisers to fully capitalise the benefits of CTV?
To unlock the full potential of real-time bidding on CTV, advertisers must truly understand platform features. Having a blend of first-party data, high-value audiences, and a strong grasp of measurement is also essential.

After all, adopting a consistent test-and-learn approach enables you to stay ahead of technological advancements and the competing industry landscape.
